Welcome the 2011/12 Honorary Mayor!

With this year’s election completed 8/19, we are pleased to announce our 2011/12 Nantucket Honorary Mayor to be Patty Rottmeier. The election was extremely close all through the voting period…but at the last minute, Patty pulled out all the stops to more than double her votes and win by a landslide!  
 
Patty ran on the slogan “I promise a flip flop on each foot for my summer constituents and a fur in every closet for my Stroll constituents.”  In keeping with the significant role of the Honorary Mayor and her summer “flip flop” offering, Patty was out sailing for Race Week and sent her assistant to be swore in…but watch for her in her our legendary top hat and sash this Stroll season!
